According to the blog al.com, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Board voted unanimously last week to allow hunting with suppressors in the state.
According to Fred Harders, the assistant director of wildlife and freshwater fisheries for the state Department of Conservation, the Board’s decision to allow suppressor use for hunting was in part to preserve harmony between hunters and non-hunters in more populated areas of the state.
“When someone is hunting around an urban area, it will allow that to take place without bothering people nearby,” said Harders.
Alabama will be joining 30 other states that already allow hunters to employ the use of suppressors.
